Ukoliko je stanar izvan ku\u0107e, alarm se ostavlja na DELAY tako da prilikom povratka stanar ima vremena deaktivirati alarm. Ukoliko je stanar kod ku\u0107e onda alarm mo\u017ee isklju\u010diti (OFF), postaviti na trenutno uklju\u010denje (INSTANT) ako se \u017eeli \u0161tititi od provale i sli\u010dnih nedozvoljenih upada ili postaviti na CHIME ukoliko \u017eeli zvono za dozvoljene ulaze (uku\u0107ani). Osim toga, posebnim 3-znamenkastim kodom stanar mo\u017ee alarm aktivirati u bilo kojem trenutku bez obzira na magnetske prekida\u010de \u0161to je korisno za alarmiranje u slu\u010daju provale kroz neza\u0161ti\u0107ene otvore na ku\u0107i, pozivanje susjednih stanara u pomo\u0107, panik-alarm i sli\u010dno. Alarm se nakon 2,5 minute automatski resetira. Reed-relej funkcionira kao i svaki drugi relej kod kojeg magnetsko polje privla\u010di i zatvara ili otvara njegove kontakte. Specifi\u010dnost kod reed-releja je ta \u0161to su kontakti od magnetskog materijala zatvoreni u usku staklenu cjev\u010dicu \u010dime su za\u0161ti\u0107eni od vanjskih utjecaja i pra\u0161ine. Kontakti su sami po sebi elasti\u010dni te ne zahtijevaju neku posebnu vanjsku armaturu (opruge, poluge, nosa\u010de i sli\u010dno) pa su mehani\u010dki jednostavni, pouzdani i dugog \u017eivotnog vijeka. Kontakti su obi\u010dno na vrlo malom razmaku tako te se brzo zatvaraju i za pogon ne zahtijevaju jako magnetsko polje. Kao takvi su prikladni za aplikacije gdje su potrebna \u010desta, pouzdana, brza preklapanja niskih struja uz malu vlastitu potro\u0161nju. Magnetska sklopka se tako sastoji od dva zasebna elementa: jedan sa reed-relej sklopkom i jedan sa permanentnim magnetom. Kad je element sa magnetom u blizini elementa sa sklopkom ista je uklju\u010dena, odnosno aktivirana. \u010cim se magnet malo udalji od sklopke ista se otvori, nastane prekid u strujnom krugu i time aktivacija alarma. Dva reed releja ugra\u0111ena su sa bo\u010dnih strana samog alarmnog ure\u0111aja, a po potrebi se mo\u017ee instalirati i vanjski reed-relej. Tako\u0111er, zvu\u010dnik alarma je ugra\u0111en u sam ure\u0111aj, no mo\u017ee se spojiti i vanjski zvu\u010dnik. Tako se alarm vrlo jednostavno mo\u017ee instalirati primjerice na ulazna vrata bez potrebe za ikakvim \u017eicama. Ukoliko pak \u017eelimo za\u0161titi neka te\u017ee dostupna mjesta poput prozora, mogu se preko \u017eica koristiti vanjski magnetski senzori. Izlazno poja\u010dalo alarma je tranzistorsko. Zavijaju\u0107i zvuk alarma i dvotonski zvuk ku\u0107nog zvona mogu\u0107e se dobivaju preko RC oscilatora izvedenim sa inverterima. Premje\u0161tanjem \u017eica sa ovih izlaznih kontakata dobivamo \u017eeljeni redoslijed brojeva kombinacije. Mi imamo \u010detiri NOR vrata, a ta vrata na izlazu daju logi\u010dku 1 samo ukoliko su oba ulaza na logi\u010dkoj 0. U svim drugim kombinacijama izlaz iz NOR vrata je logi\u010dka 0. Tako\u0111er imamo \u010detiri NAND vrata, a ta vrata na izlazu daju logi\u010dku 0 samo ukoliko su oba ulaza na logi\u010dkoj 1. U svim drugim kombinacijama izlaz iz NAND vrata je logi\u010dka 1. Osim toga, tu je jo\u0161 12 \u00a0NOT vrata ili invertera koji na svom izlazu mijenjaju logi\u010dko stanje dovedeno na ulaz.<\/p>\n<p>Mogli bi sada satima (danima) sa ovim logi\u010dkim vratima kombinirati mogu\u0107u shemu na\u0161eg alarma i na kraju dobiti neko rje\u0161enje koje ne mora nu\u017eno odgovarati originalu. Polazi\u0161te je u tome da je slijed uno\u0161enja ispravnih znamenki koda osiguran nekim lan\u010danim (serijskim) spojem logi\u010dkih vrata, gdje svaka nova ispravna znamenka (svojom logi\u010dkom1 ili 0) otvara slijede\u0107a po redu vrata u logi\u010dkom lancu, a izlaz iz posljednjih logi\u010dkih vrata okida izlazni sklop. Tako se posljednja vrata ne\u0107e otvoriti ukoliko sva prethodna vrata nisu redom otvorena. No tu ima jo\u0161 jedan problem. Osnovna logi\u010dka vrata ne mogu pamtiti logi\u010dka stanja (kao flip-flop ili broja\u010d). To zna\u010di da kad kratko pritisnemo odgovaraju\u0107u tipku koda, ona \u0107e logi\u010dka vrata dr\u017eati otvorenim samo u tom kratkom vremenu. Da bi se zadr\u017ealo logi\u010dko stanje na ulazima vrata, koriste se kondenzatori. Kondenzator \u0107e se dolaskom logi\u010dke 1 (napona napajanja +5V) nabiti na taj napon i dr\u017eati ga neko vrijeme i nakon \u0161to se tipka otpusti. Vrijeme zadr\u017eavanja stanja ovisi o kapacitetu kondenzatora i brzini njegovog pra\u017enjenja preko optere\u0107enja. RC konstanta se obi\u010dno uzme takva da se napon dr\u017ei nekoliko sekundi koliko je dovoljno za otipkavanje svih znamenki koda.<\/p>\n<p>Na\u0161 alarm mora imati dva logi\u010dka lanca za prepoznavanje ispravnih kodova, 974 i 741. Jedan kod deaktivira alarm, a drugi ga aktivira. U principu bi se jedan logi\u010dki slijed za prepoznavanje 3-znamenkastog koda mogao napraviti sa svega dvjema logi\u010dkim vratima. Najbli\u017ei tipkovnici su integrirani krugovi sa NAND i NOT vratima, pa mo\u017eemo pretpostaviti da se ova vrata koriste za formiranje takvog lanca. Vrlo vjerojatno da su po dva NAND vrata spojena kao SR (set, reset) flip-flopovi.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Osim ograni\u010denja u raspolo\u017eivim znamenkama i duljini broj\u010danog koda, ovaj sistem je ograni\u010den i time \u0161to se znamenke u kodu ne mogu ponavljati. No bez obzira na to, na\u0161 alarm sa \u010detiri raspolo\u017eive znamenke jo\u0161 uvijek se mo\u017ee kombinirati na 720 razli\u010ditih 3-znamenkastih kodova. Generalno gledano, ukoliko postoji dostup komponentama alarma istog je lako onesposobiti tako da se prere\u017ee \u017eica vanjskog zvu\u010dnika, kratko spoje \u017eice senzora, prekine napajanje glavne jedinice (preko ispravlja\u010da ili preko interne baterije 9 V) ili jednostavno gurne neka prazna audio uti\u010dnica 2,5 mm u konektor za priklju\u010divanje vanjskog zvu\u010dnika \u010dime \u0107e isklju\u010diti interni zvu\u010dnik. S vanjske strane, vjerojatno je u slu\u010daju lo\u0161e monta\u017ee senzoru dovoljno pribli\u017eiti neki ja\u010di magnet koji \u0107e vanjski ili interni reed-relej dr\u017eati zatvorenim. No, ukoliko su sve komponente alarma instalirane u unutra\u0161njosti prostorije, u slu\u010daju provale alarm \u0107e se svakako uklju\u010diti, pa makar i na nekoliko sekundi koliko bi upornom provalniku bilo potrebno da razbije ili na drugi na\u010din fizi\u010dki uni\u0161ti alarmnu jedinicu.
