Prvi od njegovih patenata bila je metalna kop\u010da za remen nazvana &#8220;Tokubijo&#8221;. Tijekom 1915. godine Hayakawa je patentirao metalni mehanizam za minu olovke za pisanje tako da istu nije trebalo posebno \u0161iljiti. Mogli bi re\u0107i da je to bila prete\u010da dana\u0161nje tehni\u010dke olovke. Olovka je nazvana &#8220;Ever-Ready Sharp&#8221; (uvijek spremna nao\u0161trena) i taj naziv je kasnije inspirirao ime tvrtke koju danas poznajemo kao Sharp.<\/p>\n<p>Nakon \u0161to je 1920. godine najavljeno kako \u0107e za pet godina zapo\u010deti radijsko emitiranje u Japanu, Hayakawa je preusmjerio poslovanje na radio tehniku i kasnije elektroniku op\u0107enito. Tvrtka je 1924. godine dobila ime &#8220;Hayakawa Metal Works&#8221;, a prva generacija kristalnih radio aparata za japansko tr\u017ei\u0161te plasirana je u prodaju sredinom 1925. godine. Tijekom 1942. godine naziv tvrtke je promijenjen u &#8220;Hayakawa Electric Industry Company&#8221;. Prve TV prijemnike tvrtka je po\u010dela proizvoditi 1953. godine (Sharp TV3-14T), a 1964. godine razvijen je prvi tranzistorski kalkulator na svijetu (Sharp CS-10A). Sredinom 1960-tih godina tvrtka je predstavila prvu mikrovalnu pe\u0107nicu s okretnom plo\u010dom. Tijekom 1970. godine ime tvrtke je preimenovano u Sharp Corporation.<\/p>\n<p>Sharp je 1973. godine proizveo prvi LCD kalkulator, a tijekom 1980-tih godina je imao suradnju sa Nintendom. Sharp je bio poznat kao proizvo\u0111a\u010d elektronike \u0161iroke potro\u0161nje sa dobrim odnosom cijene i kvalitete. No od 1976. godine Sharp tako\u0111er ulazi i u proizvodnju profesionalnih stereo sistema uvo\u0111enjem vrhunskih prijemnika, poja\u010dala, zvu\u010dnika, gramofona i kasetofona sa implementiranim najnovijim tehnologijama uklju\u010duju\u0107i i prve digitalne sisteme (linija Optonica). Od 2000. godine Sharp je ulo\u017eio velika sredstva u tvornice za proizvodnju LCD panela. Sredinom 2005. tvrtka Sharp pustila u prodaju tada najve\u0107i LCD televizor sa zaslonom dijagonale 65 in\u010da, a dvije godine kasnije predstavljen je prototip opet najve\u0107eg LCD TV-a sada sa zaslonom od 108 in\u010da. Od 2005. do 2010. Sharp je bio najve\u0107i brand mobilnih telefona u Japanu. Za kori\u0161tenje u automobilu ure\u0111aj se stavlja u posebno ku\u0107i\u0161te (ladicu) preko koje ostvaruje konekciju sa napajanjem i antenom automobila. Slijedi transformator za okretanje faze te izlazni push-pull stupanj sa germanijskim tranzistorima 2SB415. Temperaturna stabilizacija izvedena je termistorom TH-201 u krugu prednapona baza izlaznih tranzistora. Paralelno vezan otpornik R206 slu\u017ei za korekciju temperaturne karakteristike promjene otpora ugra\u0111enog termistora kako bi ona odgovarala temperaturnim karakteristikama tranzistora (promjena kolektorske struje uslijed promjene temperature). Danas se svi AM\/FM ili samo FM analogni radio prijemnici uglavnom baziraju na jednom specijaliziranom \u010dipu kojem su od vanjskih elemenata potrebni samo oni za kontrole u upravljanje.
