Tvrtka Seafarer Navigation International je proizvodila raznu elektroni\u010dku mjernu, navigacijsku i komunikacijsku opremu za manje brodove i plovila. Dubina se prikazuje na kru\u017enoj skali preko \u017eute LED i istovremeno na LCD displeju sa dvije znamenke i to u tri mjerna opsega (METRIC RANGE): 0-20 metara, 0 do 60 metara i 0 do 200 metara. Potenciometrom GAIN pode\u0161ava se ja\u010dina ultrazvu\u010dnog impulsa tako da bude dovoljna za jedan odjek, odnosno da se izbjegnu vi\u0161estruki odjeci (za pli\u0107e dubine ja\u010dina se podesi na manju vrijednost).<\/p>\n<p>Seafarer 700 je opremljen s dva zvu\u010dna i vizualna alarma dostignutih dubina. Alarm za plitku vodu (A1 &#8211; SHALLOW) mo\u017ee se podesiti za najmanju dubinu od 0,8 metra. Alarm za duboku vodu (A2 &#8211; DEEP) mo\u017ee se podesiti za najve\u0107u dubinu od 29 metara. Pode\u0161avanje alarma signalizira crvena LED na kru\u017enoj skali kao i LCD displej. Kad se alarmi A1 i A2 podese, sklopka se vra\u0107a u polo\u017eaj mjerenja dubine (Dual Display). Sada \u017euta LED pokazuje dubinu u realnom vremenu, a crvena LED svijetli na odre\u0111enim dijelovima skale kao indikacija postavljenih alarma.<\/p>\n<p>Funkcija \u201eDepth Guard\u201c slu\u017ei za u\u0161tedu potro\u0161nje struje, posebno kad se radi na internim baterijama ili kada se plovi otvorenim morem i nema potrebe za stalnim brzim mjerenjima. U tom modu rada se isklju\u010duje elektromotor za LED pokaziva\u010d na kru\u017enoj skali, te se dubina prati samo na LCD displeju. Tako\u0111er, intervali mjerenja se smanjuju za oko 23 puta (sa 27 ms na 615 ms). \u00a0\u017duta i crvena LED na zaustavljenom rotoru kru\u017ene skale \u0107e bljesnuti kod svakog intervala mjerenja kako bi postojala indikacija da mjerenje dubine i pode\u0161eni alarmi i dalje rade.<\/p>\n<p>Seafarer 700 mo\u017ee izravno raditi na tri brodska sistema istosmjernog napajanja od 12 V, 24 V ili 32 V (max 35 V). Tako\u0111er mo\u017ee raditi na internu bateriju od 9 V tipa PP9 ili na dvije plosnate baterije 4,5 V (3R12). Ispod za\u0161tite su jo\u0161 \u010detiri priklju\u010dka za spajanje dodatnog vanjskog LCD displeja sa \u010detiri znamenke (raspon pokazivanja od 0,8 m to 119,9 m) koji onda mo\u017ee paralelno pokazivati dubinu na nekom udaljenom mjestu (Repeater Connections).<\/span> <\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Na\u0161 ure\u0111aj je do\u0161ao bez ultrazvu\u010dne sonde (transducera). U originalu je to PZT (olovo-cirkonat-titanat) piezo elektri\u010dni pretvornik impulsne snage 100 Wpp koji radi na nominalnoj frekvenciji 150 kHz. Sonda se isporu\u010divala sa koaksijalnom kablom du\u017eine 7,3 metra i mo\u017ee se u\u010dvrstiti na unutra\u0161nju stranu dna trupa plovila \u010dime nema potrebe za bu\u0161enjem trupa i Na manjoj plo\u010dici je LCD i integrirani krugovi za kontrolu istog (BCD broja\u010di, 7-segmentni dekoderi\/drajveri i drugi logi\u010dki \u010dipovi), a na ve\u0107oj plo\u010dici je sva ostala mjerna i upravlja\u010dka elektronika. Centralni integrirani krug je ULA 1G006E (Ferranti). ULA (Uncommitted Logic Array) su potpuno namjenski integrirani krugovi koji mogu sadr\u017eavati razli\u010dite sklopove specifi\u010dne za ure\u0111aj za koji su dizajnirani. Naj\u010de\u0161\u0107e ih nalazimo u ure\u0111ajima iz 1980-tih godina, a najpoznatija primjena je u ku\u0107nim ra\u010dunalima Sinclair ZX 81 i ZX Spectrum (vidi objavu Sinclair ZX Spectrum+ Issue 3B). Britanska tvrtka Ferranti je bila vode\u0107i proizvo\u0111a\u010d namjenskih ULA \u010dipova (vidi objavu Pogonski voltmetar Ferranti 120 V).<\/p>\n<p>Namjenski ULA \u010dip je dakle centralna komponenta elektroni\u010dkog sklopa dubinomjera Seafarer 700 (kao i nekih sli\u010dnih modela Seafarer dubinomjera). Bilo kakav kvar na ovom \u010dipu \u010ditav ure\u0111aj \u010dini neupotrebljivim, a danas ve\u0107 sasvim sigurno i nepopravljivim, jer se ovi \u010dipovi odavno ne proizvode, a i kada su se proizvodili sigurno nisu bili dostupni u slobodnoj prodaji. Ukoliko \u017eelimo saznati ne\u0161to vi\u0161e o elektroni\u010dkoj shemi i principu rada sklopova unutar Seafarera 700, svakako bi za po\u010detak trebali imati tvorni\u010dku dokumentaciju za ULA 1G006E.<\/p>\n<p>Ono \u0161to ipak mo\u017eemo malo bolje promotriti to je prili\u010dno specifi\u010dan pokaziva\u010d (indikator) dubine i postavljenih alarma sa dvije rotiraju\u0107e LED diode. Princip rada ovog pokaziva\u010da je isti kao na danas ra\u0161irenim zabavnim napravama naziva \u201eLED propeller display\u201c ili \u201eLED propeller clock\u201c. LED diode se brzo vrte pogonjene elektromotorom, a upravlja\u010dka elektronika ih u odre\u0111enim trenucima tijekom rotacije pali i gasi. Zbog tromosti ljudskog oka, vidjeti \u0107emo svojevrsnu fiksnu svjetlosnu to\u010dku ili sliku na onom dijelu rotacije gdje se LED kod svakog okreta na trenutak upali.<\/p>\n<p>Najve\u0107i problem kod ovakvih pokaziva\u010da je osigurati vodljive kontakte na rotor za LED diodama. To su naj\u010de\u0161\u0107e klizni prsteni, no po\u017eeljno je da njihov potrebni broj bude \u0161to manji zbog jednostavnosti konstrukcije i zbog manje mogu\u0107nosti kvara ili otkaza kliznih kontakata. Moderni LED propeller displeji zahvaljuju\u0107i minijaturizaciji u elektronici imaju \u010ditavu upravlja\u010dku elektroniku (mikrokontroler) zajedno sa LED diodama montiranu na sam rotor, tako da se preko kliznih prstena treba samo dovesti napajanje (dva klizna prstena). U okruglom dijelu primje\u0107ujemo uzorak \u201eopti\u010dkih prepreka\u201c koje ulaze u opti\u010dki senzor. Zahvaljuju\u0107i impulsima koji se generiraju iz opti\u010dkog senzora tijekom rotacije, ULA dobiva informaciju o brzini i polo\u017eaju rotora u realnom vremenu. Na slici desno se vidi opti\u010dki senzor za pra\u0107enje brzine i polo\u017eaja rotora, te kontakt vanjskog kliznog prstena za LED diode. Amplituda impulsa je oko 520 Vpp. Prema podacima snaga impulsa je 100 Wpp \u0161to zna\u010di da je struja koju mora dati ure\u0111aj reda 200 mA. Iz ovoga pak proizlazi da je unutra\u0161nji otpor ultrazvu\u010dne sonde oko 2,6 k\u2126.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ultrazvu\u010dni sonar koji prodire 200 metara kroz morsku vodu i dovoljno je osjetljiv da detektira odjek kroz dodatnih 200 metara vode svakako treba generirati ultrazvu\u010dne impulse dovoljne snage (100 W) no potrebna snaga vrlo vjerojatno ovisi i o frekvenciji na kojoj sonar radi. Potenciometar GAIN ne smanjuje amplitudu signala koji se \u0161alje na sondu, tako da vrlo vjerojatno samo smanjuje ili poja\u010dava osjetljivost detektora koji prima ultrazvu\u010dni odjek.<\/p>\n<p>Seafarer 700 je za dana\u0161nje standarde zastarjeli tip brodskog ultrazvu\u010dnog dubinomjera, a s obzirom da ga je netko izvadio bez sonde onda vi\u0161e nije ni isplativ da ga se osposobi za neku primjenu. Iako se \u010dini se jo\u0161 uvijek radi ispravno, to je ipak 40 godina star ure\u0111aj kojeg je pregazilo vrijeme i kod kojeg ve\u0107 mo\u017eemo o\u010dekivati i razne kvarove ako bude konstantno u pogonu. Iako elektronika nije posebno komplicirana za servis i elektromotor je lako zamjenjiv, centralni namjenski \u010dip ULA 1G006E se danas vi\u0161e ne mo\u017ee nabaviti.
