Mjera\u010d temperature ETP-M dizajniran je za mjerenje temperature metalnih povr\u0161ina, korozivnih teku\u0107ina i plinova do 120 \u00b0C. Proizvodio se u razdoblju od 1961. do 1994. godine te ga je proizvedeno u vi\u0161e od 30 000 primjeraka. Na vrh sonde stavlja se jedan od tri za\u0161titna prstena ovisno o vrsti medija na kojem vr\u0161imo mjerenje: \u010dvrsta povr\u0161ina, teku\u0107ina ili plin. \u00a0Sonda koju vidimo na slici opremljena je nastavkom za mjerenje temperature na \u010dvrstim (metalnim) povr\u0161inama. Izmjerena vrijednost u mikroamperima pomo\u0107u tablica prilo\u017eenih uz instrument prera\u010dunava se u stupnjeve Celzijusa. Naime, iz osnovnog modela ETP-M tijekom 30 godina proizvodnog procesa razvijeno je i desetak drugih ina\u010dica vi\u0161e ili manje sli\u010dnih termometara, a ina\u010dica ETP-MI minimalno se razlikuje od osnovne ina\u010dice ETP-M. Najve\u0107a razlika je u dijelu sheme za napajanje instrumenta (kod\u00a0ETP-M ne uo\u010davamo za\u0161titnu diodu ni akumulatoski blok). Prednost tih termometara je \u0161to su lagani, za pogon je dovoljna jedna mala baterija, mjerenje se svodi na pritisak gumba, a o\u010ditanje temperature je trenutno i izravno.
