Computer Numerical Control) su ra\u010dunalom upravljani alatni strojevi gdje se ra\u010dunalno kodirane naredbe pretvaraju u pomake alatnog stroja. Prvi takav numeri\u010dki upravlja\u010dki sustav naziva Sinumerik tvrtka Siemens je lansirala na tr\u017ei\u0161te1964. godine. Programski podaci su se u\u010ditavali prekobu\u0161ene trake. Siemensova serija CNC kontrolera Sinumerik nastavila se razvijati se sve do danas te je proizvedeno oko 10000 razli\u010ditih sustava tog tipa. Za na\u0161 konkretni sustav Sinumerik 501 nismo prona\u0161li nikakve poveznice. Mogu\u0107e da su se koristila tri takva displeja za X, Y i Z os pomaka stroja i\/ili prikaz jo\u0161 nekih drugih podataka.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Nixie cijevi su izumljene su 1952. godine (Burroughs Corporation) i bile su u upotrebi do kraja 1970-ih godina kada su ih ve\u0107 svugdje zamijenili drugi tipovi displeja (VFD, LED, LCD). Ime Nixie zapravo je akronim prvog naziva za ove elektronske cijevi \u2013 eksperimentalni numeri\u010dki indikator (Numerical Indicator eXperimental: NIX-i), a kasnije se taj naziv vi\u0161e nije mijenjao. Nixie cijev je staklena cijev ispunjena plinom neonom (ili nekom drugim inertnim plinom) uz mali dodatak \u017eive. Unutar cijevi se nalazi jedna ili vi\u0161e katoda od tanke \u017eice oblikovane u \u017eeljeni simbol. Iste su obavijene anodom od metalne mre\u017eice dovoljno rijetke strukture da se kroz nju bez problema vide katode. Kad se anoda i jedna od katoda priklju\u010de na istosmjerni napon od oko 150 V plin oko te katode po\u010dne svjetlucati. U na\u0161em primjeru svaka Nixie cijev ima ukupno deset katoda (svaku za jednu znamenku) napravljenih od tanke \u017eice i poslaganih jedna iza druge u cijev. Drugi i tre\u0107i modul su zapravo isti osim \u0161to je na jednom modulu umjesto integriranog kruga SN7441 (BCD dekoder i driver za Nixie cijevi) proizvo\u0111a\u010da Texas Instruments ugra\u0111en isti \u010dip proizvo\u0111a\u010da National Semiconductor. Posljednji modul na slici nije numeri\u010dki nego sadr\u017ei samo pozitivni i negativni predznak.<\/span> <\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Iako Nixie cijevi na sebi nemaju nikakvu oznaku, ovdje se gotovo sigurno radi o Siemensovim cijevima ZM1180. Sve Nixie cijevi u principu su vrlo sli\u010dne i razlike uglavnom le\u017ee u dimenzijama i oblicima cijevi. S obzirom da potrebni anodni napon iznosi oko 150 V, a struja ne prelazi 3 mA, \u010desto se napajaju izravno iz mre\u017ee 220 V preko diode i odgovaraju\u0107eg otpornika na kojem nastaje potrebiti pad napona (47k\u2126). Zahvaljuju\u0107i niskim strujama mogu se koristiti jeftini upravlja\u010dki tranzistori pa u kona\u010dnici sklapanje ure\u0111aja sa Nixie cijevima nije puno kompliciranije niti skuplje od upotrebe LED pokaziva\u010da. Razliku u cijeni naravno najvi\u0161e \u010dine same Nixie cijevi koje su puno skuplje i te\u017ee dobavljive od LED pokaziva\u010da, tako da nabavka starog ure\u0111aja sa Nixie cijevi uvijek veseli, pogotovo ako su cijevi jo\u0161 i ispravne (o\u010dekivani \u017eivotni vijek im je cca1000 \u2013 10000 sati).<\/p>\n<p>Prva Nixie cijev sadr\u017ei samo prikaz pozitivnog i negativnog predznaka, a ostalih osam Nixie cijevi sadr\u017ei deset numeri\u010dkih znamenki. Tako se i modul sa predznacima razlikuje od numeri\u010dkih modula, a i modul prve znamenke se donekle razlikuje od modula svih ostalih znamenki. Svih osam numeri\u010dkih modula sadr\u017ei \u010dip SN7441 (Texas Instruments ili National Semiconductor) \u0161to je BCD dekoder i driver za Nixie cijevi. Ostalo su razli\u010diti logi\u010dki integrirani krugovi, a razlika je samo u tome \u0161to modul prve znamenke ima jedan logi\u010dki \u010dip FLH161 manje:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>FLH101 (Siemens) x2 &#8211; \u010detiri NAND vrata sa dva ulaza (7400)<\/li>\n<li>FLH201 (Siemens) x2 &#8211; \u010detiri NAND vrata sa dva ulaza (7401)<\/li>\n<li>FLH111 (Siemens) &#8211; tri NAND vrata sa tri ulaza (7410)<\/li>\n<li>FLH121 (Siemens) &#8211; dva NAND vrata sa \u010detiri ulaza (7420)<\/li>\n<li>FLH141 (Siemens) &#8211; dva NAND vrata sa \u010detiri ulaza (7440)<\/li>\n<li>FLH161 (Siemens) &#8211; dvije AND-OR-INVERT kombinacije sa dva ulaza (7451)<\/li>\n<li>SN7476 (Texas Instruments) x2 &#8211; Sve \u017eice su jednake i uvezene u snopove te je prakti\u010dno nemogu\u0107e fizi\u010dki pratiti pojedine povezne putove.<\/span> <\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><span style=\"color: #00ffff;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Iz svega prikazanog vidimo da moduli ne sadr\u017ee nikakve broja\u010de, nego se sa prikazom odre\u0111ene znamenke upravlja zasebnim linijama preko mre\u017ee logi\u010dkih krugova koji u kona\u010dnici na svojem izlazu dalju odre\u0111eni BCD kod za pojedinu znamenku unutar pojedine Nixie cijevi. Sasvim sigurno je da se uz svu ugra\u0111enu logiku znamenkama ne upravlja pojedina\u010dno, mogu\u0107e je da se koristi BCD ili neki drugi namjenski kod, a nije isklju\u010dena ni mogu\u0107nost multipleksiranja. Upravlja\u010dki moduli sa logi\u010dkim krugovima vjerojatno nisu nu\u017eno vezani uz pojedini Nixie modul gdje su mje\u0161teni. Ovakav razmje\u0161taj modula je vjerojatnije odabran radi u\u0161tede prostora.<\/p>\n<p>Ovdje je gotovo nemogu\u0107e, a i nema nekog smisla, pratiti pojedine linije ili crtati elektroni\u010dku shemu jer se radi o specifi\u010dno upravljanoj logici. Osim jednakih usnopljenih poveznih \u017eica, obrnuti in\u017eenjering uvelike ote\u017eava to \u0161to su svi moduli s obje strane premazani nekim za\u0161titnim izolacijskim lakom. Ako se \u017eeli ostvariti bilo kakav elektri\u010dni kontakt sa izvodima elementima ili tiskanim vezama prvo je potrebno sastrugati taj izolacijski lak. S obzirom da je lak proziran nikad niste sigurni da li je dovoljno uklonjen. O\u010dito da ovi moduli nisu bili predvi\u0111eni za popravak nego samo za zamjenu.<\/p>\n<p>Ipak, poku\u0161ati \u0107emo nekako islijediti linije osnovnih napajanja kako bi napravili probno uklju\u010denje ovog Nixie displeja. Za logi\u010dke integrirane krugove i Nixie drivere treba nam napajanje od 5 V. Za naponske komparatore TDC2710 danas je ve\u0107 nemogu\u0107e na\u0107i neku tehni\u010dku dokumentaciju, no pretpostavljam da se radi o integriranim krugovima koji su vrlo sli\u010dni, ako ne i jedna od ina\u010dica komparatora LM710. Maksimalni dozvoljeni naponi napajanja za taj \u010dip su +14V \/ -7V pa \u0107emo uzeti da se napajaju standardnim naponima +12V \/ -5V. Nixie cijevi rade na nominalnom naponu 145 V (maksimalno 180 V). Ispod njega je standardni industrijski Centronics 36-pinski konektor (IEEE-1284 Tip B) koji definitivno slu\u017ei za prijenos podataka, no ne mo\u017eemo znati da li se radi o jednosmjernoj ili dvosmjernoj komunikaciji niti o kojem se protokolu prijenosa podataka radi. Koliko se mo\u017ee vidjeti, na svaki Nixie modul vode \u010detiri \u017eice tako da su ovo mogu\u0107e BCD kodne linije za svaku Nixie cijev. Zasvijetlile su sve Nixie cijevi osim posljednje. Linija od +5 V vu\u010de gotovo 1 A struje \u0161to ukazuje na neku gre\u0161ku, vrlo vjerojatno lo\u0161e filtarske elektrolitske kondenzatore. \u010cini se da intenzitet svjetla polako pada od prve znamenke prema posljednjoj. Svakako je ovdje potrebno izvr\u0161iti zamjenu svih elektrolitskih kondenzatora.<\/p>\n<p>Upravljanje preko rotiraju\u0107eg kodera nema nikakav utjecaj na prikaz znamenki, no to je i za o\u010dekivati jer nismo doveli sve linije napajanja. Displej prvo poka\u017ee sve nule, a onda se prebaci na petice. Ovu nestabilnost tako\u0111er uzrokuje lo\u0161a filtracija napajanja. U svakom slu\u010daju, u ovoj fazi nam je bio cilj samo provjeriti da li Nixie cijevi daju znakove \u017eivota. Sada bi trebalo zamijeniti sve elektrolite, a onda poku\u0161ati definirati pinove na ostalim konektorima.
