Nekoliko godina kasnije tvrtka Radiometer je po narud\u017ebi jednog doma\u0107eg kemijskog laboratorija izradila pH metar koji je postao prvi komercijalno dostupan mjerni ure\u0111aj te vrste i uspje\u0161no se koristio po\u010detkom 1950-tih godina za mjerenje pH vrijednosti u krvi i dijagnozu prisutnosti polio-virusa, odnosno dje\u010dje paralize. Ovo revolucionarno otkri\u0107e postalo je temelj za ulazak Radiometra u proizvodnju medicinske opreme i ure\u0111aja. Osim \u0161to \u0107e time demodulacija signala u prijemnicima biti iskrivljena, kod dubine modulacije preko 100% do\u0107i \u0107e i do generiranja velikog broja harmoni\u010dkih frekvencija \u010dime \u0107e se zna\u010dajno pro\u0161iriti i ukupno zauze\u0107e frekvencijskog opsega kanala. S druge strane, dubina (ja\u010dina) modulacije utje\u010de na snagu emitiranog signala. U idealnom slu\u010daju (linearna modulacijska karakteristika predajnika i \u010disti sinusni modulacijski signal) snaga predajnika kod 100% modulacije pove\u0107ati \u0107e se za 50%. No prakti\u010dno gledano ni jedna modulacija unutar sklopovlja predajnika nije potpuno linearna, a modulacijski signal je naj\u010de\u0161\u0107e govor koji ne \u010dini jedna frekvencija stalne amplitude ve\u0107 zauzima \u010ditav frekvencijski opseg od minimalno 300-3000 Hz uz vrlo razli\u010dite amplitude govornih frekvencija. Pri tome, dubina modulacije mora biti pode\u0161ena tako da ni najve\u0107a amplituda pri tome ne pre\u0111e 100%, pa zbog toga prosje\u010dna vrijednost modulacije govora obi\u010dno ne prolazi ni 30%. Kad se sve to uzme u obzir, pove\u0107anje prosje\u010dne snage predajnika moduliranog govorom biti \u0107e svega nekoliko postotaka. Ovo se mo\u017ee pobolj\u0161ati tako da se amplitude govornog signala limitiraju, odnosno da se odre\u017eu najvi\u0161i vrhovi (pikovi) \u010dime se pove\u0107ava prosje\u010dna vrijednost modulacije. No, s druge strane treba imati u vidu da se za pove\u0107anje dubine modulacije od 70% na 100% (dakle ukupno 30%) snaga modulatora mora pove\u0107ati za \u010dak 100%. Stoga je najoptimalnije dubinu modulacije podesiti na vrijednost ne\u0161to ispod 100%.<\/p>\n<p>Za razliku od AM modulacije, kod FM modulacije snaga predajnika ostaje konstantna bez obzira na veli\u010dinu modulacije. Ukoliko nema modulacije, sva snaga \u0107e biti zadr\u017eana u valu nosiocu. FM modulacija \u0107e isto kao i AM modulacija uzrokovati pojavu bo\u010dnih pojaseva no kod FM modulacije ti bo\u010dni pojasevi uzimaju snagu od vala nosioca. Stoga se ja\u010dina vala nosioca (ponekad i faza) stalno mijenja ovisno o ja\u010dini modulacije, no ukupno gledano zbroj amplituda i faza ukupnog signala (nose\u0107i val + bo\u010dni pojasevi) je uvijek konstantan. Kod AM \u0161irina kanala ovisi samo o modulacijskoj frekvenciji, a kod FM ukupna \u0161irina frekvencijskog opsega koju \u0107e zauzeti modulirani kanal osim o modulacijskoj frekvenciji ovisi i o veli\u010dini devijacije. Odnos ove dvije veli\u010dine naziva se indeks modulacije. FM signal pod jednakim uvjetima zauzima \u0161iri frekvencijski opseg od AM signala. Kako bi se frekvencijski opseg FM kanala ne bi bio pre\u0161irok potrebno je dakle ograni\u010diti frekvencijski opseg govornog signala (isto kao i kod AM) ali tako\u0111er i ograni\u010diti devijaciju nose\u0107e frekvencije. Ve\u0107 smo rekli da se \u0161irina govornog opsega frekvencija (kako bi nakon demodulacije govor jo\u0161 uvijek bio razumljiv) mo\u017ee ograni\u010diti na najvi\u0161e 300 &#8211; 3000 kHz, pa se sve svodi samo na ograni\u010denje devijacije koja pak je proporcionalna ja\u010dini modulacijskog signala. Tako \u0107emo prakti\u010dno kod radioamaterskih i sli\u010dnih FM predajnika prenositi govorni signal ograni\u010den na najve\u0107u frekvenciju od 3 kHz, pri \u010demu \u0107e maksimalna devijacija tako\u0111er iznositi \u00b13 kHz, \u0161to \u010dini indeks modulacije M=1, a ukupna zauzeta \u0161irina ovakvog kanala je 12 kHz. S druge strane, FM modulacijom se sa jednakom devijacijom mo\u017ee prenijeti i puno \u0161iri raspon audio frekvencija \u0161to se koristi za visoko-kvalitetni FM radio difuzni prijenos. Ovdje \u0107e najve\u0107a frekvencija govornog spektra umjesto na 3 kHz biti ograni\u010dena na 15 kHz, pri \u010demu \u010de maksimalna devijacija iznositi \u00b175 kHz, \u0161to \u010dini indeks modulacije M=5, a ukupna zauzeta \u0161irina ovakvog kanala je 180 kHz. Veli\u010dina FM devijacije \u0107e dakle ovisiti o tipu FM predajnika i prakti\u010dno se kre\u0107e u rasponu 3 &#8211; 75 kHz.<\/p>\n<p>Op\u0107enito gledano, ukoliko je modulacija AM ili FM predajnika premala tada \u0107e demodulirani signal u prijemniku biti previ\u0161e tih, a ukoliko je modulacija prevelika tada \u0107e i kod AM i kod FM modulacije do\u0107i do prekomjernog zauze\u0107a frekvencijskog opsega, a kod AM modulacije i do izobli\u010denja demoduliranog signala. Kod AM modulacije najbolje je veli\u010dinu modulacije ograni\u010diti na cca 80%, a kod FM modulacije devijacija ovisi o tipu predajnika i frekvencijskom opsegu na kojem se koristi i u pravilu se kre\u0107e u rasponu 3 &#8211; 75 kHz.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/crowave.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/radiometer_modulation_meter_afm1_08.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[601]\"><img AFM1 (prema oznakama na prednjoj plo\u010di) omogu\u0107uje mjerenje dubine AM modulacije u rasponu 0 &#8211; 100% i mjerenje FM devijacije u rasponu 0 &#8211; 300 kHz, moduliranih RF signala u frekvencijskom opsegu 3,5 &#8211; 320 MHz. Pri tome se AM modulacija mo\u017ee se mjeriti u \u010detiri mjerna opsega (3, 10, 30 ili 100%), FM modulaciju mo\u017eemo mjeriti u pet mjernih opsega (3, 10, 30, 100 i 300 kHz), a ulazni modulirani RF signal se bira u sedam frekvencijskih opsega od \u010dega su dva harmoni\u010dna. Preklopnik za frekvencijske opsege ima i polo\u017eaj EXT. OCS. koji vjerojatno slu\u017ei za rad sa opcionalnim modulima lokalnog oscilatora koji se po potrebi mogu ugraditi za druge frekvencijske opsege.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a AFM1 sadr\u017ei ukupno 18 elektronskih cijevi smje\u0161tene na \u010detiri tiskane plo\u010dice:\u00a0tri dvostruke diode (signalne) EAA91, diodu (naponski stabilizator) 150B2, dvije diode (naponski stabilizatori) 85A2, triodu EC81, dvije dvostruke triode ECC81, dvostruku triodu ECC82, dvostruku triodu ECC88, pentodu EF80, dvije pentode EF86 i \u010detiri pentode EF91. Zanimljivo je da je ispravlja\u010d anodnih napona poluvodi\u010dki, odnosno sadr\u017ei dva Graetzova diodna mosta. Poluvodi\u010dke diode nalazimo i u krugu ispravlja\u010da napona za mjerni instrument.<\/p>\n<p>Osnovni ulazno izlazni vodovi donekle su ozna\u010deni na plo\u010dicama i na temelju njih mogli smo izvesti na\u010delnu blok shemu ure\u0111aja no za detaljnu indikaciju svih sklopova morali bi posjedovati barem elektri\u010dnu shemu. Naravno, puno toga moglo bi se otkriti i mjerenjima, no treba imati u vidu da se radi o najmanje 60 godina starom ure\u0111aju sa 18 elektronskih cijevi. \u010cak i da su sve cijevi ispravne, dugotrajno dr\u017eanje ovakvog ure\u0111aja pod naponom moglo bi dovesti do razli\u010ditih kvarova uzrokovanih strujnim optere\u0107enjem dotrajalih komponenti. Stoga bi prvo trebalo zamijeniti sve sumnjive i neispravne pasivne komponente \u0161to svakako uklju\u010duje zamjenu ve\u0107ine kondenzatora, a to se mo\u017ee pretvoriti u dugotrajan i skup restauracijski zahvat.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/crowave.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/radiometer_modulation_meter_afm1_30.gif\" rel=\"lightbox[601]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-6744\" src=\"http:\/\/crowave.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/radiometer_modulation_meter_afm1_30-1024x282.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"282\" srcset=\"http:\/\/crowave.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/radiometer_modulation_meter_afm1_30-1024x282.gif 1024w, http:\/\/crowave.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/radiometer_modulation_meter_afm1_30-300x83.gif 300w, http:\/\/crowave.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/radiometer_modulation_meter_afm1_30-768x212.gif 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>S obzirom da svi sklopovi (posebno filtri i poja\u010dala) ovakvog mjernog instrumenta moraju imati vrlo linearne karakteristike, \u0161iroki ulazni RF opseg frekvencija 3,5 &#8211; 320 MHz potrebno je konvertirati na jedinstvenu me\u0111ufrekvenciju (u na\u0161em slu\u010daju MF = 1 MHz) na koju \u0107e kasnije biti pode\u0161eni svi demodulatorski i mjerni sklopovi ure\u0111aja \u010dime \u0107e biti omogu\u0107eno mjerenje na svim RF frekvencijama pod istim uvjetima. MF signal zatim se dovodi na demodulatorske sklopove.<\/p>\n<p>Za mjerenje dubine AM modulacije koriste se posebna mjerna poja\u010dala koja detektiraju vr\u0161ne vrijednosti amplitude i iste pretvaraju u mjernu vrijednost napona.<\/p>\n<p>Za mjerenje FM devijacije signal se prvo limitira (re\u017eu se vrhovi) \u010dime od sinusnog valnog oblika dobivamo signal nalik pravokutnom. Ovim signalom okida se monostabil na \u010dijem izlazu se dobivaju signali konstantne \u0161irine ali promjenjive frekvencije koja prati promjene frekvencije nose\u0107eg signala uzrokovane devijacijom. Time \u0107e u kona\u010dnici i srednja vrijednost napona takvog signala biti proporcionalna frekvencijskoj devijaciji. Rije\u010d je dakle o tzv. Tako\u0111er, za ovaj ure\u0111aj nismo prona\u0161li nikakvu tehni\u010dku dokumentaciju.<\/p>\n<p>Ru\u010dica za biranje frekvencije nije bila u funkciji jer je pukla \u0161paga mehanizma koji povezuje ru\u010dicu bira\u010da sa skalom i promjenjivim kondenzatorom mjera\u010da. Uz malo truda, strpljenja i upornosti uspje\u0161no je montirana nova \u0161paga mehanizma. Na sre\u0107u, u skupljenim zalihama prona\u0161li smo jedan stari ruski &#8220;bjanko&#8221; instrument koji dimenzijama savr\u0161eno odgovara na\u0161em ure\u0111aju. Mjerni instrument AFM1 ima tri skale. Dvije glavne skale su naravno za prikaz vrijednosti AM (gornja skala) i FM (donja skala) modulacija i rade kad je sklopka za odabir vrste mjerenja (FUNCTION SELECTOR) postavljena u odgovaraju\u0107i polo\u017eaj AM ili FM. Oznaka IF CHECK slu\u017ei za to\u010dno pode\u0161avanje frekvencije MF signala na 1 MHz pomo\u0107u gumba TUNIG lokalnog oscilatora, kada je sklopka za odabir vrste mjerenja (FUNCTION SELECTOR) postavljena u odgovaraju\u0107i polo\u017eaj IF CHECK. S obzirom da nemamo elektri\u010dke podatke o originalnom instrumentu morali smo izvr\u0161iti mjerenja izlaznih napona na stezaljkama instrumenta. Za ulazni RF signal odabrali smo testnu frekvenciju od 120 MHz koja se nalazi otprilike na sredini skale. MF signal pratili smo na osciloskopu i nakon \u0161to je pode\u0161en na to\u010dno 1 MHz, napon za instrument iznosio to\u010dno 300 mV. S obzirom da se ova pozicija nalazi na 2\/3 skale originalni instrument je najvjerojatnije imao puni raspon na naponu 500 mV. U prilog tome ide \u010dinjenica da najve\u0107i napon koji poja\u010dalo mo\u017ee dati na stezaljke instrumenta iznosi 570 mV.<\/p>\n<p>Zamjenski instrument ima unutra\u0161nji otpor 2 k\u2126 te na punom otklonu napon od 100 mV i struju od 50 \u00b5A. Kako bi pro\u0161irili mjerni opseg ovog instrumenta sa 100 na 500 mV potreban je ukupan otpor od 10 k\u2126. To zna\u010di da serijski zavojnici instrumenta moramo dodati otpornik vrijednosti 8 k\u2126. Mi smo ugradili precizni vi\u0161eokretni potenciometar 10 k\u2126 kojim \u0107emo podesiti kazaljku instrumenta da na MF od 1 MHz pokazuje oznaku IF CHECK 1 MHz na skali.<\/p>\n<p>Nakon ovoga izvr\u0161ena je kalibracija ja\u010dine ulaznog signala na puni otklon skale (SET LEVEL) i krenuli smo sa mjerenjem modulacije. Utvr\u0111eno je da je mjera\u010d modulacije AFM1 iznena\u0111uju\u0107e precizan unato\u010d desetlje\u0107ima neodr\u017eavanja. Podudaranje ulazne RF frekvencije sa oznakom na okretnoj skali lokalnog oscilatora bolje je od 1 MHz (pola jedne podjele) \u0161to je odli\u010dno za ovaj instrument. Mjerenje AM i FM modulacije tako\u0111er je u granicama 10% i bolje od ovoga stvarno nismo ni o\u010dekivali. Ugodno iznena\u0111uje i \u010dinjenica da sve sklopke i potenciometri na prednjoj plo\u010di jo\u0161 uvijek rade glatko i bez prekida unato\u010d tome \u0161to je unutra\u0161njost instrumenta bila poja\u010dano izlo\u017eena ulasku prljav\u0161tine i pra\u0161ine kroz rupu za mjerni instrument. Tako\u0111er se mo\u017ee vizualno pratiti envelopa moduliranog RF signala na osciloskopu i zatim iz oscilograma izra\u010dunati dubina modulacije, a pogotovo se lako uo\u010dava ako ona prelazi 100%. Me\u0111utim za mjerenje FM modulacije potrebni su slo\u017eeniji sklopovi koji \u0107e razlike u frekvenciji pretvoriti u neku veli\u010dinu pogodnu za prikaz. Ja\u010dinu FM devijacije ne mo\u017eemo izravno o\u010ditati ni sa prikaza signala na osciloskopu ili RF spektralnom analizatoru. Ipak, na spektralnom analizatoru mo\u017eemo vidjeti da li nam modulirani signal zauzima preveliki frekvencijski opseg \u0161to je siguran znak ili prevelike modulacije (lo\u0161e limitiranje moduliraju\u0107eg signala) ili pre\u0161irokog opsega moduliraju\u0107ih frekvencija (lo\u0161e filtriranje moduliraju\u0107eg signala). Iako dakle ima raznih neizravnih metoda utvr\u0111ivanja ispravne pode\u0161enosti modulacije kod RF predajnika, mjera\u010d modulacije je ipak najprakti\u010dniji, najto\u010dniji i najjednostavniji mjerni instrument za utvr\u0111ivanje vrijednosti ove izuzetno va\u017ene komponente svakog predajnika. Tako i na\u0161 vintage primjerak AFM1, kako se pokazalo na testovima, jo\u0161 uvijek mo\u017ee biti vrijedan instrument svake radioamaterske radionice, barem dok se ne nabavi neki suvremeniji mjera\u010d kod kojeg ne\u0107emo morati toliko strepiti o vijeku trajanja ili u kojem trenutku bi mogla otkazati koja od 18 upogonjenih elektronskih cijevi \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Danas je nabavljen mjera\u010d AM i FM modulacije &#8220;Modulation meter Type AFM1&#8221; proizvod danske tvrtke Radiometer iz 1968. godine.
