Spominje se da su njihovi instrumenti imali veliki zna\u010daj za ameri\u010dki program istra\u017eivanja svemira. Ovi \u0161umovi nastaju kao posljedica fizikalnih procesa u samoj gra\u0111i tranzistora. \u0160umovi koji nastaju u tranzistorima mogu se podijeliti na nekoliko kategorija:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>toplinski ili termi\u010dki \u0161um, uslijed toplinskog gibanja nosioca naboja unutar kristala dolazi do kolebanja jakosti elektri\u010dnog polja \u0161to uzrokuje pojavu promjenjivog napona \u0161uma na izvodima tranzistora<\/li>\n<li>\u0161um sa\u010dme, ovisi o struji i nastaje zbog nepravilne difuzije, rekombinacije i sakupljanja nosioca naboja na emiteru i kolektoru<\/li>\n<li>\u0161um razdiobe, nastaje zbog razdiobe struje \u0161upljina izme\u0111u baze i kolektora<\/li>\n<li>poluvodi\u010dki \u0161um, ovisan je o frekvenciji i naponu i nastaje zbog nepravilne razdiobe naboja na povr\u0161ini kristala u blizini zapornog sloja emiter-baza<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u0160umovi u unipolarnim tranzistorima (FET, MOSFET) u pravilu su manji nego kod bipolarnih tranzistora. \u0160um tranzistora posebno je kriti\u010dan kod konstrukcije sklopova gdje se tra\u017ei visoka osjetljivost i gdje razina unutarnjeg \u0161uma mora biti \u0161to manja kako ne bi prelazila razinu korisnog signala. Op\u0107enito gledano unutarnji \u0161um tranzistora ima potpuno neodre\u0111enu karakteristiku, odnosno amplituda, frekvencija i faza \u0161umova imaju posve slu\u010dajan raspored i ne mo\u017ee se definirati nikakvom funkcijom vremena. Mo\u017eemo re\u0107i da se Model 340 sastoji se od tri funkcionalne cjeline:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>izvor napajanja sa plivaju\u0107om masom za napajanje kolektora tranzistora koji se testira (DUT), te modula strujnog osjetila i VCO-a za galvansko odvajanje uzorka struje iz strujnog osjetila (na blok shemi ozna\u010deno plavom bojom), zatim izvor napajanja sa uzemljenom masom za napajanje svih ostalih modula, te zaseban izvor kolektorskog napona<\/li>\n<li>sklopovi za generiranje struje\/napona baze kojom se odre\u0111uje struja kolektora tijekom testa<\/li>\n<li>mjerna petlja koju \u010dine sklopovi za modulaciju emitera DUT-a radnom frekvencijom, zatim sklopovi za poja\u010danje i stabilizaciju amplitude mjernog signala i sklopovi za kona\u010dnu obradu signala \u0161uma za Preklopnikom COLLECTOR\/DRAIN VOLTS mijenja se samo mjerno podru\u010dje instrumenta VOLTAGE i ne utje\u010de na vrijednost napona prema kolektoru DUT-a.<\/p>\n<p>Struja kolektora odre\u0111uje se pobudom baze DUT-a. Kad se radi o DUT-u unipolarnog tipa (FET) struju Drain-a odre\u0111uje napon na Gate-u. U tom slu\u010daju preklopnikom BIAS odabere se polo\u017eaj GATE BIAS VOLTAGE, dakle upravljanje naponom. Tako\u0111er se izabere odgovaraju\u0107i polaritet napona preklopnikom NPN N CHANNEL \/ PNP P CHANNEL, a potenciometrom VOLTS (ozna\u010den crvenom to\u010dkom) podesi se njegova vrijednost koja se o\u010ditava na galvanometru VOLTAGE. Preklopnikom VOLTS (ozna\u010den crnom to\u010dkom) mijenja se samo mjerno podru\u010dje galvanometra VOLTAGE i ne utje\u010de na vrijednost napona prema Gate-u DUT-a.<\/p>\n<p>Ukoliko se radi o DUT-u bipolarnog tipa onda struju kolektora odre\u0111uje struja baze. Za ovo strujno upravljanje konstruirani je poseban sklop koji na osnovu struje kolektora upravlja strujom baze tako da je istu mogu\u0107e mijenjati i odr\u017eavati stabilnom. Kako bi se strujni krugovi kolektora i baze galvanski odvojili koristi se naponski kontroliran oscilator (CONTROL OSCILLATOR) frekvencije 150 kHz \u010dija amplituda izlaznog napona ovisi o struji kolektora. Izlazni napon iz VCO-a koji je time proporcionalan kolektorskoj struji se poja\u010dava i o\u010ditava na instrumentu CURRENT. Tako\u0111er, ovaj isti napon se nakon sklopke za promjenu polariteta NPN\/PNP poja\u010dava i preko sklopke BIAS dovodi na bazu DUT-a. Na izlazu iz poja\u010dala BASE SUPPLY mijenjati \u0107e se dakle napon, a time i struja \u00a0baze sve dok struja kolektora ne bude jednaka onoj koju smo postavili preklopnikom i potenciometrom COLLECTOR\/DRAIN CURRENT MILLIAMPERES.<\/p>\n<p>Struja kolektora je plivaju\u0107a, jednako kako i struja VCO-a koji se napaja preko plivaju\u0107eg izvora simetri\u010dnog napona \u00b115V. Zajedni\u010dka plivaju\u0107a masa uvijek je spojena je na kolektor DUT-a dok je uzemljena masa stalno spojena na emiter DUT-a. Napajanje kolektora ovisi o tipu DUT-a. Kod \u00a0NPN tipa pozitivni pol napajanja na plivaju\u0107oj masi i kolektoru DUT-a, a negativni pol napajanja na uzemljenoj masi i emiteru DUT-a. Kod PNP tipa polaritet je obrnut. Ovisno o smjeru struje kroz DUT (PNP ili NPN) upravlja\u010dki napon za VCO iz strujnog senzora (CURRENT AMPLIFIER) \u0107e u odnosu na masu imati razli\u010diti polaritet na izlazu. Taj napon se napon prije ulaza u VCO poja\u010dava i ispravlja, te je kao takav proporcionalan struji kolektora DUT-a. Izlazni napon iz VCO-a frekvencije 150 kHz galvanski se odvaja transformatorom od sustava napajanja kolektora, strujnog senzora i samog VCO-a. U svakom modulu nalaze se dva kvarcna oscilatora, jedan koji radi na frekvenciji kojom testiramo DUT i jedan koji radi na 20 kHz vi\u0161oj frekvenciji, sa pripadaju\u0107im poja\u010dalima i mje\u0161a\u010dem. Na blok shemi su sklopovi modula ozna\u010deni crvenom bojom, a sklopovi baznog ure\u0111aja zelenom bojom.<\/p>\n<p>Signal \u0161uma uzima se preko transformatora sa linije napajanja kolektora DUT-a. Ovaj signal se zatim poja\u010dava slijedom koji \u010dini pretpoja\u010dalo i pet stupnjeva poja\u010danja. \u010cetiri stupnja poja\u010dana upravljana su povratnim naponom automatske regulacije poja\u010danja (AGC). AGC je potreban iz razloga da se u svim uvjetima u lancu poja\u010danja odr\u017eava konstantan faktor ukupnog poja\u010danja kako bi o\u010ditanje vrijednosti \u0161uma na izlaznom instrumentu bilo to\u010dno.<\/p>\n<p>Oscilatorom na ispitnoj frekvenciji (OSCILATOR TESTNE FREKVENCIJE) vr\u0161imo pobudu DUT-a i taj signal ujedno slu\u017ei i za kalibraciju poja\u010dala. Drugi oscilator (LOKALNI OSCILATOR) radi na frekvenciji 20 kHz vi\u0161oj od prvog oscilatora i na taj na\u010din u mje\u0161a\u010d dolazi poja\u010dan signal testne frekvencije koji sadr\u017ei \u0161um DUT-a\u00a0 sa prvog oscilatora i \u010disti signal 20 kHz ve\u0107e frekvencije sa drugog oscilatora. Kao produkt mije\u0161anja ova dva signala dobivamo signal razlike sa frekvencijom (MF) od 20 KHz (kalibracijski signal) pomije\u0161an sa signalom \u0161uma DUT-a. Ovakvo mije\u0161anje je potrebno iz razloga da bi se iz sva tri testna modula razli\u010ditih frekvencija (1 MHz, 10,7 MHz ili 45 MHz) na izlazu dobio jednak signal frekvencije 20 kHz sa uklju\u010denim \u0161umom koji generira DUT i koji se onda kao takav dalje jednako obra\u0111uje u zajedni\u010dkim mjernim krugovima. Ovaj signal od 20 kHz tako\u0111er slu\u017ei i za AGC kontrolu.<\/p>\n<p>Moduli koji rade na 1 MHz i 10,7 MHz donekle se razlikuju od modula koji radi na 45 MHz. Prva dva modula imaju kontrole BASE RESISTANCE i CAPACITY. Preklopnikom BASE RESISTANCE mijenja se serijski otpor baze DUT-a, a paralelno tome i amplituda pobude DUT-a osnovnom frekvencijom. Na taj na\u010din, ukoliko se odabere ve\u0107i bazni otpor automatski \u0107e se pove\u0107ati i napon napajanja poja\u010dala za pobudu \u010dime \u0107e stupanj uzbude ostati konstantan. Kod modula na 45 MHz pobuda DUT-a vr\u0161i se preko baze iz strujnog izvora pa promjena pobudnog napona nije potrebna. Preklopnikom INDUCTANCE mijenja se induktivitet zavojnice serijskog titrajnog kruga spojenog serijski s bazom tako da rezonira na radnoj frekvenciji. Time se posti\u017ee poni\u0161tavanje impedancije pa na izvor osnovne frekvencije utje\u010de samo otpor baznog otpornika.<\/p>\n<p>Signal frekvencije 20 kHz sa uklju\u010denim \u0161umom koji smo dobili iz mje\u0161a\u010da pomo\u0107u transformatora impedancije (ISOLATION AMPLIFIER) razdvaja se u dvije grane, granu za AGC i granu za mjerenje \u0161uma. U AGC grani kombinirani signal prvo dolazi na AGC DETECTOR gdje se signal \u0161uma filtrira, a signal frekvencije 20 kHz se ispravlja i poja\u010dava. Ispravljeni napon 20 kHz dodatno se poja\u010dava u AGC DRIVER poja\u010dalu i prikazuje na instrumentu AGC VOLTAGE. Vrijednost napona na instrumentu je dakle vrijednost napona za AGC, a to je zapravo stupanj gu\u0161enja u lancu poja\u010dala kako bi se odr\u017eao isti faktor poja\u010danja.<\/p>\n<p>U grani za mjerenje \u0161uma kombinirani signal prvo dolazi na atenuator 20 dB gdje se mo\u017ee po potrebi prigu\u0161iti (METER MULTIPLIER 0 \/ +20 dB). U detektoru \u0161uma (NOISE DETECTOR) signal \u0161uma odvaja se od nose\u0107e frekvencije 20 kHz i dovodi na integrator u kojem se vrijednost \u0161uma pretvara u proporcionalan istosmjerni napon. S obzirom da se tra\u017ei o\u010ditanje \u0161uma u dB, onda se DC signal iz integratora jo\u0161 jednom procesuira u logaritamskom poja\u010dalu. Na kraju se taj signal jo\u0161 jednom poja\u010dava u izlaznom mjernom poja\u010dalu za prikaz na instrumentu. Pojedini modul sadr\u017ei svega nekoliko komponenti i svi moduli su preko konektora povezani mati\u010dnom plo\u010dom. Kao \u0161to smo ve\u0107 imali priliku vidjeti u sli\u010dnim konstrukcijskim rje\u0161enjima i ovdje u unutra\u0161njosti nalazimo adapter preko kojeg se u slu\u010daju servisa svaki modul mo\u017ee izdi\u0107i iz plo\u010de tako da je lako dostupan za mjerenje, ali je i dalje elektri\u010dki spojen sa plo\u010dom. O vrlo robusnom aluminijskom ku\u0107i\u0161tu ne treba tro\u0161iti rije\u010di, a i sve kontrole (sklopke, potenciometri) dizajnirane su za dugotrajan i pouzdan rad. Da ne duljimo previ\u0161e, slike govore vi\u0161e od rije\u010di, no svakako je za kraj potrebno naglasiti i kako je ovdje rije\u010d o doista rijetkom tipu mjernog instrumenta jednako tako slabo zastupljene ameri\u010dke tvrtke zbog \u010dega \u0107emo za ovaj ure\u0111aj osloboditi ipak neko malo posebnije mjesto na izlo\u017ebenoj polici \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><a
