Ure\u0111aj mo\u017ee mjeriti frekvencije u opsegu od 85 MHz do 1000 MHz, pri \u010demu su osnovne frekvencije oscilatora u rasponu od 85 MHz do 200 MHz, a puni opseg mjerenja dobiva se kori\u0161tenjem harmonika. To\u010dnost mjera\u010da je +- 0,05% preko cijelog opsega. Ima ugra\u0111eni kristalni oscilator na temeljnoj frekvenciji od 5 MHz, gdje se ova frekvencija kao i njeni harmonici koriste kao kontrolne frekvencije za kalibriranje promjenjivog frekvencijekog oscilatora mjera\u010da. Mjera\u010d je po izgledu i principu rada vrlo sli\u010dan mjera\u010du frekvencije <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crowave.com\/blog\/2016\/06\/06\/mjerac-frekvencije-bc-221-ac\/\" target=\"_blank\">BC-221-AC<\/a> koji je ve\u0107 opisan na na\u0161im stranicama. Osnovna razlika, osim frekvencijskog opsega koji pokriva, je ta da je u mjera\u010d TS-175A\/U ugra\u0111en izlazni audio transformator impedancije tako da se sada na audio izlaz mjera\u010da slu\u0161alice mogu izravno spojiti, te mogu\u0107nost modulacije VF signala.<\/p>\n<p>Na zadnjoj strani mjera\u010da je otvor za smje\u0161taj baterija i kompletna elektri\u010dna shema sklopa. Paralelno primarnom namotu vezan je MICA kondenzator C9 koji se popularno naziva domino kocka \ud83d\ude42 Na elektri\u010dnoj shemi ispisani su samo kodovi komponenti, pa je vrijednost kapaciteta potrebno i\u0161\u010ditati iz to\u010dkica.<\/p>\n<p>Kod MICA kondenzatora prva to\u010dkica je orijentacijska i uvijek je crna. Slijede\u0107e dvije boje u nizu daju prve dvije numeri\u010dke vrijednosti, zatim slijede\u0107a prema dolje je broj nula, slijede\u0107a do nje ozna\u010dava toleranciju, te posljednja (ispod crne) obi\u010dno napon ili neku drugu karakteristiku. Sli\u010dno tome, kod papirnatih kondenzatora prva to\u010dka je uvijek srebrna, a zatim se dalje sve \u010dita kao i za MICA kondenzatore. Sve ovo vrijedi za tada\u0161nji vojni na\u010din ozna\u010davanja komponenti, tzv. JAN (Joint Army-Navy).<\/p>\n<p>Me\u0111utim, postojao je i drugi standard &#8211; RMA (Radio Manufacturers Association) prema kojem su se domino kondenzatori ozna\u010davali sa 3, 4, 5 ili 6 to\u010dkica. U slu\u010daju 6 to\u010dkica, prve tri su broj\u010dana vrijednost, zatim je slijede\u0107a ispod multiplikator (broj nula), te slijede to\u010dkice za toleranciju i napon. Ovdje kondenzator mo\u017ee imati otisnutih svih \u0161est to\u010dkica, me\u0111utim, ako jedna nije obojana, to se onda ra\u010duna kao da ih ima samo pet.<\/p>\n<p>Na na\u0161em kondenzatoru uo\u010dava se prva crna to\u010dkica \u0161to upu\u0107uje na MICA kondenzator ozna\u010den po JAN sistemu (na njemu je i otisnuta oznaka MICA). Uo\u010davaju se i dvije strelice preko svakog reda to\u010dkica koje ozna\u010davaju u kojem smjeru treba zapo\u010deti \u010ditanje. Jednako kao i kod mjera\u010da <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crowave.com\/blog\/2016\/06\/06\/mjerac-frekvencije-bc-221-ac\/\" target=\"_blank\">BC-221-AC<\/a> ove za\u0161titne sklopke uklju\u010duju krug grijanja cijevi samo kada je utika\u010d slu\u0161alica uklju\u010den u ure\u0111aj kako bi se sprije\u010dilo nepotrebno tro\u0161enje baterija i cijevi kada se ure\u0111ajem ne mjeri. Do njih su sklopke za odabir vrste rada i za uklju\u010denje ili isklju\u010denje modulacije. Vrste rada ne razlikuju se od mjera\u010da BC-221-AC pa ih ovdje ne\u0107emo ponavljati, a mogu\u0107nost modulacije VF signala je dodatak kojeg nema na mjera\u010du BC-221-AC.<\/p>\n<p>Za modulaciju VF signala ovdje se koristi stupanj audio poja\u010dala koje se u tom modu prekap\u010da da radi kao oscilator. Naime, sklopkom S2 sekundarni namot izlaznog transformatora odspaja se sa priklju\u010dka na slu\u0161alice i spaja na ulaz elektronske cijevi u audio stupnju \u010dime isti po\u010dinje oscilirati na audio frekvenciji od oko 1 kHz.
